FOR - Fibre Optic Repeater

The FOR is a small unit which receives and re-transmits data carried on glass or plastic fiber optic cables, to provide for increased transmission distances. Five model variations allow for single or bi-directional repeating in all-plastic cable systems, as well as offering transition between plastic and glass cables.

Fiber optic ports:

receptacles for H-P HFBR-3500 plastic fiber optic cables and/or glass fiber optic cables with ST connectors (receptacles for SMA connectors to special order)

 

Cable lengths:

plastic: 40 meters maximum

glass: 3500 meters maximum

 

Baud rates:

0 to 1.2 megabaud

 

Indicators:

LED on each channel flashes when data is received

 

Power requirements:

9 to 20 volts DC at 200mA OR
10 to 14 volts AC at 400mA RMS

 

Power connector:

2-way detachable screw terminal block, accessible when cover is removed

 

Dimensions:

73 x 66 x 20 mm

 

Mounting provisions:

two screw holes accessible when cover is removed
