QUICK FACTS

  • There are two main families of probes manufactured by Group3, the MPT and the LPT series probes

  • Every Group3 probe is individually characterized at many hundred field values

  • Any Group3 probe can be used with any Group3 Teslameter

  • Probe cables can be ordered in any length up to 30m

  • A printed calibration data of the individual characterization tables for that particular probe is supplied.

  • To be use in conjunction with a DTM-151 or DTM152  for temperature compensation and DTM-133 or DTM-333 for no temperature compensation.

 FEATURES

  • Probe cables can be ordered in any length up to 30 meters.

​

  • Unshielded cable has a diameter of 4.5 mm.

​

  • Shielded cable has a diameter of 6.3 mm

​

  • The probe head is usually on the end of a short (10 to 50 mm) length of twisted but unjacketed wires. This allows greater flexibility when mounting the probe head.

​

  • Various special configurations of probe head have been manufactured to special customer requirements - if one of the existing types of probe is not suitable for your application, please contact your Group3 representative.

​

  • The operating temperature range of the probe and instrument is 0 to 50 ° C

​

  • A range of probe holders is available for both series of probe heads. One, two and three axis probe holders have been manufactured in aluminium and non-metallic materials.

​

  • A printed booklet of the individual characterization tables for that particular probe is supplied.

    CUSTOM-MADE PROBES

 

    Group3 creates custom-made probes to suit your field measurement needs. Below are some of the customized probes we can create for you:

​

  • High field measurement of up to 8 Tesla.

  • Single range probe to any of the following: 

    • Standard Sensitivity - 0.3 Tesla, 0.6 Tesla, 1.2 Tesla or 3.0 Tesla​

    • High Sensitivity - 0.03 Tesla, 0.06 Tesla, 0.12 Tesla or 0.3 Tesla

  • Probe isolation using circular MIL spec connectors.

  • Rotating probe head side using brush-less slip rings such as a MERCOTAC connector.
